Bridges ACADEMY

A Hybrid School

BRIDGES Academy Hybrid School

Do you feel your student could benefit from the attention homeschooling could offer? Yet, your schedule and abilities make that idea not seem real? What if you could partner with a group of teachers who love education, God's word integrated in all subjects and life experiences, and agree that parents should have role in their child's education?

At Bridges Christian Academy, we offer a school that takes your student and teaches to their strengths and supports their struggles to grow and learn more. A hybrid schedule, we meet with your students 3 full school days a week to go over teacher-directed core subjects; Math, English Literature, Science, Social studies, and Bible. Students engage in rich discussions, group and solo projects, games, team and social skills building, and so much more.

Each Monday, students come together with our homeschool co-op community to worship, have a chapel and elective classes. Monday classes are taught by co-op parents and community members but academy students can earn high school credit with support from our teachers should additional requirements be needed.

Parents are our true partners. Parents take on the teaching, tutoring, support, pouring in values and quality on our hybrid days. Two days a week, at the parents and families time and schedule, parents take on the learning. From supporting work given by the classroom teachers, to exploring the topic of the Trojan War more in depth, or making a salt map of a country, students engage with learning in multiple ways that are as unique as your student.

We hold high standards at Bridges Christian Academy to support learning, and lead students to learn more about God, their communities, and themselves to enter the adult world ready for where every God has for them; college, career, trades, workforce, homelife, ministry, and more!

Won't you join us!

FAQ

Teachers
Bridges Connects chooses classes based on the interests and talents of its members. The classes and activities are led and taught by parents who are part of the cooperative, leveraging their skills and knowledge to enrich the homeschooling community.

Special needs, can they come?

Yes, your child with special needs is welcome at Bridges Connects! The cooperative supports the entire family, including those with special needs. To best accommodate your child, it would be important to have an open conversation about their specific needs and discuss creative ways to effectively include them in the learning environment. This ensures that they receive the support and resources necessary to thrive alongside their peers.

Our family wants to meet other kids and families, is this something you provide?
Yes! That is one of our primary goals! Through our unique structure and connection Bridges Connects actively facilitates opportunities for families to meet and build relationships with other like-minded families who share similar values focused on faith and education. The cooperative not only provides structured activities during connects days but also encourages families to connect outside of these times. This approach helps create a large, supportive network and community, enhancing the homeschooling experience through shared learning and growth in faith and Christ.
I’m exploring homeschooling, do I have a place with Bridges?
Yes, you certainly have a place with Bridges. Bridges is committed to supporting every parent in their involvement with their child's education, tailored to meet the needs and circumstances of each family.  The core belief of Bridges is that all parents can teach and train their children, but how this looks is unique to the family.  It is not required to be a full-time homeschool family to be a part of a program Bridges offers.

However, Bridges also recognizes that deciding to full-time homeschool involves many factors that make that option difficult for some. We are prepared to support you in whatever educational decisions you make for your family. This includes providing resources, guidance, and community support to ensure that you feel empowered and informed in your role as a parent in your child's education. Whichever side of the bridge you come from, Bridges desires to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all families, while upholding the uncompromising truth of the Word of God.
