Our Story
Bridges was born out of a recognition that many families were searching for something different—an alternative to traditional schools that felt disconnected from their values, yet more structured support than going it alone. We saw parents who wanted to be actively engaged in their children's learning but also desired the expertise of dedicated Christian educators. We witnessed families seeking community, encouragement, and flexibility without judgment about their educational choices. From these conversations and prayers, Bridges Christian Academy emerged as a hybrid school where professional teaching and parental involvement work hand in hand. Bridges Connects Co-op was developed to serve our homeschooling families who desired community to gain expertise, encouragement, and connection without giving up their role as the primary decision-makers in their children's education. Our Philosophy Our educational philosophy centers on three core principles: Belong, Learn, and Grow. Belong: We create a welcoming community where every student and family feels valued, accepted, and connected. Learn: We pursue academic excellence grounded in biblical wisdom. Our students receive rigorous, engaging instruction that develops critical thinking, creativity, and a love for lifelong learning. Grow: We nurture the whole child—spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially. Our goal isn't just to fill minds with knowledge, but to shape hearts and character that reflect Christ. We believe education should be personalized, joyful, and collaborative. And above all, it should point students toward their Creator and equip them to serve His Kingdom. At Bridges, great education truly is a family affair—where parents, students, and educators work together with shared purpose and mutual support. |
